Overview
Quick version: Most items ship for $9.99, and orders of $375 or more ship free by standard ground. Paints, solvents, aerosols, adhesives and other hazardous materials are regulated by the U.S. DOT and ship ground in special packaging, so they carry their own rate. Every product page shows how that item ships, and checkout shows the exact total before you pay.

Order totals for the tiers and the $375 free-shipping threshold are based on your whole cart. Free shipping covers the standard items in your order. Hazmat, pails and drums still ship at their own rate, and the larger your order, the lower the hazmat ground rate gets.
Mixed orders
Hazardous materials have to be packed and labeled separately from everything else, so each shipping class in your cart charges its rate once per order, not per item. Example: a roll of tape ($9.99) plus a gallon of Stabond ($14.99) ships for $24.98. The cart shows the total before checkout, and there are no surprises after you pay.
Where it ships from
- Eugene, Oregon. Items we stock in Eugene ship from our own shelves. Hazmat from Eugene ships for less because we pack and certify it ourselves.
- Regional warehouses. Everything else ships from a partner warehouse, usually the one closest to you that has stock, which keeps ground transit short.

Hazardous materials
Why hazmat costs more: paints, primers, clears, reducers, aerosols, body filler and many adhesives are regulated as hazardous materials. They ship in DOT-compliant packaging, with hazmat labels and paperwork, and carriers add hazmat fees.
- Limited-quantity items (small containers such as aerosols and quarts) ship by ground only.
- Next-Day Air is available for some hazmat items that ship from Eugene. These go out as fully declared dangerous goods, which is why air service starts at $199.
- Larger containers (gallons over the limited-quantity limit, 5-gallon pails and drums) ship ground or freight only.
- We do not ship hazardous materials to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories or APO/FPO addresses through checkout. Email us for a quote.
Priority & next-day
- Priority Handling puts your order at the front of the line. It ships the same or next business day by the fastest ground service. It is not air shipping.
- Next-Day Air (hazmat) is offered on eligible hazmat items stocked in Eugene: 1–2 business days after it ships.
- Need something faster than checkout offers? Call or email before you order and we'll confirm the fastest legal option.
Where we ship
- Contiguous U.S. (48 states + DC): all items.
- Alaska and Hawaii: non-hazardous items ship USPS from Eugene for $29.99. Hazardous items by quote.
- Not shipping to: international addresses (including Canada), U.S. territories, and APO/FPO addresses through checkout. Contact us for special arrangements.
Processing & cutoffs
- Most in-stock orders ship within 1–2 business days (Monday–Friday, excluding federal holidays).
- Orders placed before 12:00 PM Pacific usually ship the same business day.
- Standard ground transit is 2–7 business days depending on where it ships from. Hazmat can take a day longer.
- Out-of-stock and special-order items ship when they arrive; we'll email you if there's a delay.
Tracking & delivery
- You get a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships. Orders are only marked shipped once there's a tracking number.
- Large orders may arrive in more than one box, from more than one warehouse.
- Damaged or missing items: please report within 48 hours of delivery, with photos of the box and contents. We'll make it right.
- Drums and other freight deliveries are curbside. Inspect before signing and note any damage on the delivery receipt.
