80 grit is the shaping sheet: removing paint and rust from metal or fiberglass and shaping body filler after the coarse cut. 3M's aluminum oxide blend self-fractures to expose fresh edges, so it keeps cutting instead of rounding over.
The mineral blend resists clogging on filler. The 3-2/3 x 9 in size fits a standard hand block.
