Cubitron 3 is 3M's newest precision-shaped grain, re-engineered to cut faster and last longer than Cubitron II. The 40+ grade is the aggressive one: it slices through spot welds, rivets and heavy coatings when you need metal gone fast.
The grain keeps a sharp edge through the life of the belt, so the cut stays consistent. Fits most 1/2 x 18 in file belt sanders; follow with 80+ for a cleaner edge.
