Overview
3M Precision Masking Tape is excellent for critical edge paint performance, helping auto body painters produce sharp paint lines using solvent and waterborne paint systems. Its ultra thin paper backing helps produce very low paint edges, yet it’s strong enough to pull through layers of color and clear coat.
Our Thinnest Tape for Crisp, Sharp LinesOur 3M Precision Masking Tape is the thinnest tape we offer for automotive aftermarket applications. This makes it perfect for applications where sharp, low-profile paint edges are critical, including two-tone paint jobs, bumper blackout areas and painting around details such as nameplates and door handles. The tape is great for solvent and waterborne paint systems, producing crisp, sharp paint lines without seepage or edge bleed.
- Prevents seepage and edge bleed with waterborne and solvent paints
- Thinnest 3M tape for automotive won’t leave high paint edges, great for two-tone jobs
- Semitransparent for better visibility
