Useful shop notes
- Use the color name and OEM reference together; the name alone is not enough for collision color selection.
- This is basecoat, not single-stage. Apply a compatible clearcoat after the base has flashed per the current TDS.
- Factory-pack colors can be tinted or blended, but a spray-out card is still the painter's check before committing to the vehicle.
Common questions
Does this basecoat need clear?
Yes. HFP is a basecoat system and must be topcoated with a compatible automotive clearcoat.
How is it reduced?
High Teck recommends a 1:1 mix with a quality urethane reducer. Select reducer speed for the coating system, booth temperature and job size.
Is the color guaranteed to match the OEM code?
No factory-pack color should bypass a spray-out. Use the listed OEM reference as the starting point, then verify color, variant and blend strategy before spraying the vehicle.
