How the stages work

SATA filter 400 series

Stage Cartridge Change
A: sintered filter, 5 µm 22160 Clean at 6 months, replace if needed
B: fine filter, 0.01 µm 81810 (this product) Replace every 6 months at the latest
C: activated charcoal 85373 Replace every 3 months at the latest
Why it matters

Clean air, clean paint

  • Fine separation. Special micro-fibre fleece, 99.998% separation for particles over 0.01 µm.
  • Protects the charcoal stage. SATA says the charcoal cartridge can only be used with stages A and B in front of it.
  • Colour coded. Blue markers on the threaded rods identify the fine filter stage.
Don't stretch the interval. SATA warns that saturated cartridges cause paint quality problems, and on supplied-air respirators they can cause serious harm. Change 81810 every 6 months at the latest, sooner if your air is heavily contaminated.
How to use

Changing the cartridge

  1. Close the shut-off tap and depressurize the filter unit.
  2. Open the housing with the supplied pin spanner.
  3. Swap in the new 81810 at the blue-marked fine filter stage.
  4. Check that the O-rings are seated and undamaged, then close the housing.
  5. Replace and activate the SATA filter timer for that stage.
