Why it works

Permanent, no mess

  • Acrylic foam core. Medium-density dark gray foam with high-performance acrylic adhesive.
  • Wide temperature range. -40 to 250°F in service.
  • Tough. 3M says it resists moisture, UV and solvents.
  • No liquids. Cut, apply, press.
Tape the part, then trim. 3M says to run the tape the full length of the molding with the liner still on and cut it flush with the end. Peel the liner only when you're ready to mount.
How to use

Application

  1. Clean both surfaces with a 3M cleaner to remove wax and silicone.
  2. Wipe with rubbing alcohol on a clean cloth and let it dry.
  3. Apply the tape to the molding and trim it flush.
  4. Make sure the vehicle surface is above 65°F (18°C).
  5. Peel the liner, position the part and press firmly. Firm pressure improves the bond.
