ANEST IWATA WS-400 Series 2 Clear Digital Spray Gun, 1.3 HD Nozzle, 2713D
ANEST IWATA WS-400 Series 2 Clear Digital Spray Gun, 1.3 HD Nozzle, 2713D
SKU:2713D
Iwata built the WS-400 Series 2 Clear for glass-like clearcoat at production speed. The 1.3 HD (high delivery) nozzle is the standard-speed size in the range, and the Split Nozzle 2.0 pre-atomizes the material before the air cap finishes the job. The digital gauge sits right on the gun.
- Inlet pressure, trigger pulled
- 29 psi
- Air consumption
- 13.1 cfm
- Fan width at 6 in
- 9.8 in
- Weight, no cup
- 16.4 oz
Built for clear
- Split Nozzle 2.0. Iwata says it directs air into the material stream to pre-atomize it, and its dual thread locks the nozzle in the same position every time.
- High delivery. The 1.3 HD flows 245 ml/min, with a 250 mm (9.8 in) fan at a 150 mm (6 in) spray distance.
- Digital gauge on board. The DPG-1 reads inlet pressure at the gun. The Click-Mag lock pops it off to change the battery or clean the gun.
- Compliant, not HVLP. Iwata rates it compliant under EPA NESHAP 40 CFR Part 63 Subpart 6H at 29 psi or less.
Where the 1.3 HD sits
| Nozzle | Iwata speed rating | Pick it for |
|---|---|---|
| 1.2 HD | Control | Smaller parts, more control |
| 1.3 HD (this gun) | Standard | Everyday clear, panels to overalls |
| 1.4 HD | Speed | Faster, wetter passes |
| 1.5 HD | High speed | Large surfaces |
How to set it up
- Connect clean, dry air to the 1/4 in male air inlet.
- Pull the trigger fully and set 29 psi (2.0 bar) or less on the digital gauge. That's Iwata's suggested pressure and the compliant maximum.
- Reduce the clear to 14–25 seconds in a Ford #4 cup, or follow your clear's data sheet.
- Spray as close as you can within 4–10 in (100–250 mm). Iwata measures the 9.8 in fan at 6 in.
- Remove the digital gauge before cleaning. Never immerse the gauge.
