3M Scotch-Brite Durable Flex Hand Pad 64659, Maroon, 4-1/2 x 9 in
3M Scotch-Brite Durable Flex Hand Pad 64659, Maroon, 4-1/2 x 9 in
SKU:64659
3M's most flexible maroon scuff pad. The very fine aluminum oxide grade (about 320–400 grit) preps paint for topcoat, and the extra flex lets it follow jambs, bumpers and sharp body lines without scuffing through.

| 07447 maroon | Very fine, 320–400 | Standard hand pad |
Flex where it counts
- Ultra flexible. Conforms to jambs, bumpers and body lines.
- Consistent scratch. Tightly graded mineral with more active sites.
- Lasts. Resists tearing and loading, and will never rust.
- Reusable. Rinse it clean and use it again.
Use it where it's easy to go too far. 3M points to jambs, bumpers and sharp body lines, where a stiffer pad tends to over-scuff.
Scuffing
- Clean the surface to remove wax and grease.
- Scuff dry, with water or with some solvents.
- Work jambs, edges and body lines with light, even pressure.
- Rinse the pad clean to reuse it, then clean the panel before painting.
