Why it works

Color you can match

  • B+ air cap. DeVilbiss rates it for water-based and solvent-based basecoats.
  • Less mottling. DeVilbiss positions the DV1 Basecoat for pinpoint color accuracy.
  • Sensitive air valve. DeVilbiss says the air valve is 12 times more sensitive.
  • Eye-level gauge. The DGi Pro sits in line at eye level and reads to within 0.7 psi.

Base tips and clear tips aren't the same part. DV1 base tips are marked "B" and clear tips "C", with different part numbers. If you run both a DV1 Basecoat and a DV1 Clearcoat, keep the tips with their guns.
Setup

How to set it up

  1. Fit the tip your basecoat's data sheet calls for (1.2, 1.3 or 1.4 mm).
  2. Attach a DeKups cup through the included DPC-43 adapter.
  3. Pull the trigger and set 22 psi on the digital gauge (29 psi at the handle).
  4. Spray from 6–8 in (150–200 mm).
