AkzoNobel's Lesonal acrylic urethane clearcoat for shops without a bake cycle. Built for air-dry and cross-flow booths, it goes over Lesonal Basecoat SB or WB, has a built-in flex package, and buffs and polishes easily. The Slow version gives you the longer pot life.

Made for air dry
- No bake needed. Short cycle time without force drying, per Lesonal.
- Built-in flex. No flex additive needed over plastics; only soft foam parts need Lesonal Flex Additive.
- Polishes easily. Lesonal calls out excellent buffing and polishing.
- Blendable. Fast and Slow can be mixed to suit spraying conditions.
Application
- Let Lesonal WB or SB basecoat flash 15–20 minutes at 70°F.
- Mix 2 parts clear to 1 part Pro Air Clear 2 Pack Hardener 539540 by volume.
- Spray with an HVLP gravity gun, 1.3–1.5 mm tip, under 10 psi at the air cap.
- Apply 2 single flowing coats, flashing 5–10 minutes between coats.
- Air dry 8 hours at 70°F, or force dry 30 minutes at up to 120°F. Nib sand with P1500 or finer and polish after the air-dry time.

Which hardener does it use?
Lesonal Pro Air Clear 2 Pack Hardener 539540, mixed 2:1. It isn't stocked on our site right now, so contact us to order.
Does it need a reducer?
No. Lesonal specifies a straight 2:1 mix with no reducer.
Can I bake it?
Force dry at up to 120°F for 30 minutes. Lesonal says not to exceed 120°F, not to bake an accelerated mix, and not to use shortwave infrared.
When can I polish?
After the air-dry time, 8 hours at 70°F for the standard Slow mix. Nib sand with P1500 or finer first.
Do I need flex additive for plastic bumpers?
No. Only soft foam parts need Lesonal Flex Additive.
