Why it works

Everyday masking, done right

  • Any paint. Q1 lists it for waterborne and solvent-based coatings.
  • Heat rated. 230°F (110°C) for 30 minutes, or 194°F (90°C) for 60 minutes.
  • Clean removal. Q1 says it comes off without leaving adhesive traces.
  • See the line. The sun-yellow backing lets you see through the tape.
Need to wet sand? Q1 doesn't rate Premium for wet sanding. For that, step up to Q1 High Performance green, which has a water-resistance treatment and a slightly stronger backing.
How to use

Application

  1. Bring tape stored cold back to room temperature before use.
  2. Apply at 50°F or warmer, to a clean, dry surface.
  3. Mask, then spray waterborne or solvent-based paint.
  4. Bake at up to 230°F for 30 minutes, or 194°F for 60 minutes.
  5. Store spare rolls at 59–77°F, out of the booth during bake cycles.
