Stabond E-183 + T-440C Contact Adhesive Combo, Red, Quart or Gallon Set
SKU:183-440-G
Everything you need to rebuild a sandwich panel. E-183 bonds lauan or plywood to the EPS foam core without attacking it, and T-440C bonds the fiberglass skin to the lauan with 190 °F heat resistance. Get one of each, in matching quart or gallon sizes.

Right chemistry for each bond
- Foam needs a foam-safe adhesive. E-183's solvent blend won't attack EPS, so the core stays intact.
- The skin needs heat resistance. T-440C holds to 190 °F and resists edge lift on sun-baked sidewalls.
- Same process for both. Coat both surfaces, flash off, bond within the 5–45 minute window, and roll it down.
Application
- Make sure all surfaces are clean, dry and free of dust and oil.
- Foam layer: coat the EPS and the lauan with E-183 (spray or brush). Let it flash 5–15 minutes, then bond and roll it down.
- Skin layer: spray T-440C on the lauan and the fiberglass skin in a splatter pattern. Let it dry at least 5 minutes, then bond within 45 minutes.
- Apply firm, even pressure across the whole panel. A pinch roller works best.
- Allow 24–48 hours of post-cure before the panel sees full load. Thin either adhesive with toluene (Stabond's T-Thinner) if needed.

FAQ
Why not use one adhesive for the whole wall?
T-440C isn't made for foam, and E-183 is rated to 180 °F versus T-440C's 190 °F for the sun-facing skin. Each is matched to the layer it bonds.
Are both adhesives red?
Yes. Both adhesives in this set are red.
What do I thin it with?
Toluene. It's what Stabond's T-Thinner is, and we stock it by the gallon. The same can handles gun flush and wiping up uncured adhesive.
How long until it reaches full strength?
The bond is immediate on contact. Stabond recommends allowing 24–48 hours of post-cure before the part sees full load.
Why is overnight so expensive?
Stabond is an extremely flammable liquid, so it can't ride in a normal box. Express and overnight shipments have to go out as declared dangerous goods, in certified packaging with carrier hazmat fees on top of the freight. That's why overnight is priced per gallon. Standard ground is the best value unless the job is waiting on it.
